The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) has admitted to a data error that said Selangor had 2.9 million doses of vaccine in stock at the end of last month.The state government had <a href="https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/577451" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">disputed</a> this figure, saying that as of June 1 it had only received slightly more than 615,000 doses.In a clarification to health news portal CodeBlue today, the CITF concurred that the estimates provided by Selangor were correct.The task force indicated that the remaining 2.3 million doses of vaccine in Selangor were actually distributors' stock meant for distribution around the country.“The number that was earlier provided to CodeBlue includes both stock in government facilities and those partially still in the distributors' warehouses which are located in Selangor and ready for distribution to the whole country,” the CITF was quoted as saying.De facto Covid-19 vaccination minister Khairy Jamaluddin told the press on Monday that dose distribution was based on population coverage and registration numbers."(We are also) now shifting, pivoting and giving more vaccines to the states which are ground zero, in particular the Klang Valley," he was quoted as saying.

CITF concurs that Selangor had 615k vaccine doses on June 1, not 2.9m.
